About the Sales Manager Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for meeting sales targets by retaining and nurturing existing clients and leading new business development for the conveyor and drive team. They take a proactive approach to client interactions, crafting strategic sales plans, and fostering future growth for the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and People Management:
    • Lead the Conveyor and Drive team, overseeing recruitment, training, and development.
    • Foster team engagement and conduct performance reviews.
    • Manage budgets and identify ongoing training needs.
  • Business Development:
    • Drive product development and expansion with current and new clients.
    • Identify market opportunities and foster client relationships.
    • Execute business development strategies, including stakeholder presentations and event attendance.
  • Direct Sales and Key Account Management:
    • Travel for business development, conducting site visits and client meetings.
    • Forecast and achieve sales targets, manage accounts, and implement Key Account Management Plans.
    • Prepare proposals and document activities in CRM.
  • Planning and Reporting:
    • Update business plans, support marketing initiatives, and provide market updates.
    • Utilize plans for decision-making and optimize them weekly.
    • Report product issues and reconcile credit card statements monthly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management with industrial products.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required.
