Business Development Manager (Resources Sector)

They are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager, as the business embarks on its next growth phase. The Role:

  • Drive and increase revenue across Australia, NZ, Pacific Region
  • Assist in developing budgets, target lists
  • Ensure sales revenue targets are met and exceeded
  • Training and Growing the salespeople within the channel partners
  • Becoming a product evangelist
  • Completing partner and end-user presentations/product demonstrations
  • Developing rapport with partners and providing support that will continually improve relationships
  • Utilise knowledge of the market and competitors, to identify new opportunities

About You:

  • Demonstrated Strategic sales track record in a Business Development/channel role within the resources industry
  • Demonstrable experience selling to CEO’s, technical managers, safety managers, and line managers
  • Demonstrable experience in creating and executing a sales strategy & Account Management Plan
  • Experience selling to mining, OEM’s, oil and gas, petroleum, renewable (wind power), precast concrete industries
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills – attitude and enthusiasm is absolute key in this role
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrates personal accountability to achieving targets
  • Ability to work autonomously but also as be part of a wider team
  • Relevant industry contacts would be highly desirable
  • A confident and independent person
