“We were like many other mining services companies, a victim of the industry downturn and in scarcity mode. We knew we had to do something, but the idea that it would cost money and with no guarantee of success, made us hesitant.
After an initial session, we agreed to start with a 9 month sales skills training program for specialists and managers who had contact with clients. Half way through the program, we had a 2 day workshop, in which we did a lot of practice. This workshop really hit home and allowed us to practice the power of using excellent consultative selling skills.
