About the Operations Manager Position

This newly created Operations Manager position will lead and optimise national project delivery for a respected consultancy working across digital systems, engineering, and automation. The role will provide structure, oversight, and leadership across multi-site teams delivering complex client programs.

You will work closely with the executive team, project leads, and technical specialists to embed consistency, improve resource planning, support internal leadership development, and drive commercial accountability across a growing national project base. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to bring clarity, cadence, and performance will directly influence the success of both the delivery function and the business overall.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the national delivery function across concurrent client projects
  • Ensuring project governance, quality, and client satisfaction standards are met
  • Supporting team leads to develop capability, improve structure and resolve challenges
  • Embedding reporting, planning, and commercial performance tools across teams
  • Acting as a trusted escalation point for key delivery and operational decisions
  • Collaborating with executive leaders on future workforce and capability planning
  • This role requires national travel.

  • Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles, resourcing, and reporting frameworks
  • Comfortable operating across multiple teams, functions, and client sectors
  • Commercially astute, with experience improving operational and financial performance
  • Background in automation, control systems and digital delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, both internally and client-facing
